This is an interesting clip on ‘Smart Grids’ whereby power is transported more efficiently, at the moment c. 30% of energy is lost in transportation, that can be via heat that isn’t utilised, fall off from the grid etc. smart grids are partly about load balancing and also about using the energy we do have in a more efficient manner.
