Seamus Carrick - Financial Director
Seamus Carrick is a Fellow of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (FCCA) his career began in BDO Simpson Xavier, he later worked in international logistics before starting his own practice. Seamus is a founding member of Irish Mortgage Brokers and he is working as hard today as when we first opened our doors for business. Seamus wears many hats, he is the Chief Financial Officer first and foremost but he is also a talented Mortgage Advisor and also a key decision maker. Seamus has over a decade of experience in Professional Financial Services.
Stephen Hughes - Director
Stephen hughes holds his Mortgage Diploma and he has been in Mortgage Specific Lending for more over a decade. His career began in the Irish Permanent and he worked his way through the ranks before moving to a large City Broker, the opportunity to take directorship with Irish Mortgage Brokers came by and has helped to drive the business to where it is today.
Karl Deeter - Compliance Officer & Operations Manager
Karl Deeter has a Mortgage Diploma LIAM(dip), a Certificate in Management and I.T. and a Diploma in Business Management, both awarded by the Dublin Institute of Technology. He holds a QFA (Qualified Financial Adviser) diploma and is completing his Professional Certificate in Compliance as well as studying for his CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) & ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants) exams. He is a founding member of Irish Mortgage Brokers and has been in Financial Services since 2001 his talent for systems and of finding innovative ways to tackle problems has helped him to keep the ship afloat when the company was only two people up until today where it is over ten times that amount. Karl is on the Mortgage sub-committe of PIBA (The nations largest broker representative organisation) and he can often be heard on Radio or commenting in the printed press. Brendan O'Brien - Mortgage Adviser & Financial Planner
Brenan O'Brien is one of the longest standing members of Irish Mortgage Brokers, he has been in the Mortgage Industry for nearly a decade. His career began in GMC Mortgages and he then moved to IMC and eventually Lynskey Holland, the opportunity to join Irish Mortgage Brokers arose in 2005 and we were delighted when he decided to come on board. Brendan is a self employed Broker and his expertise is particularly strong in complex investment portfolios, however he is equally capable when dealing with first time buyers or refinance. Brendan is a true gentleman and he keeps his cool even during times of stress.
Shay O'Donovan LIB QFA ( Qualified Financial Advisor ) Mortgage Advisor and Finacial Planner.
Shay is a QFA ( Qualified Financial Advisor) and also holds Certificates in: 1) Mortgage Practice, 2) Investment Advice and 3 ) Dip. in Wealth Management. He is a part Time Tutor with the Institute of Bankers -- Lecturing on their Mortgage Practice Certificate Programme. Shay has over 35 years experience in Financial Services having spent over 30 years with Bank of Ireland, (15 of these as a Mortgage and Financial Advisor,) and the last 5 as a partner in an Independent Mortgage Brokerage. He joined Irish Mortgage Brokers in June 2009, as a Mortgage Broker and Financial Planner, and hopes to continue providing his usual exceptional standards in customer service and attention to detail, qualities that have made him a sought after advisor. Darragh Farrell - Life and Pensions Adviser
Darragh has worked for the last 6 years purely in the insurance business. As as a tied agent with Acorn life for four years and the last two with Irish mortgage brokers as an Life insurance,pensions and investments consultant. He is finishing off his QFA exams.
Darragh enjoys gaelic football ,fishing, swimming and is a keen Meath supporter.
Nicky Williams - Administration
Nicky was en route to a career as a professional football player in his native Argentina until injury forced him to change careers, he went to university in Buenos Aires and studied sports management as well as personal training, he was a fitness instructor for a long time but his focus and enthusiasm meant he has become an invaluable member of Irish Mortgage Brokers, he is responsible for everything from administration, to elements of compliance and financial control, we refer to him as a 'one man department'!
Louise O'Reilly - Mortgage Adviser
Louise O'Reilly is a Cavan woman living in Dublin since 1999. Her Financial Services career started over 8 years ago in Moneypenny where she was the office manager for a number of years. Her subsequent career took her to various Mortgage Brokerages including Irish Mortgage Corporation, Mortgage Line and Bright Finance where she held various positions covering all aspects of General Insurance, Mortgages, Life Assurance, Credit Management and General Financial Advice. Louise is now a self employed advisor and her key attributes are finding ways for people to cut running costs in their financial outgoings and and researching the market for her clients.
Barry Clarke - Mortgage Adviser
Barry joined Irish Mortgage Brokers from a city brokerage where he was a Senior Financial Advisor for 3 years. Barry started out his career many years ago with Ulster Bank where he spent 3 succesful years in several areas of retail banking. He then moved to KBC Bank (formally IIB Bank) where he spent 7 years. His first 3 years in KBC were spent in the area of Finance & Leasing. His professional manner & drive were well noted in KBC and when the bank decided to set up a new Mortgage & Insurance Sales division Barry was recruited as a senior member of the new team. He spent 4 years providing Mortgage & Insurance products to a wide range of clients from First Time Buyers to experienced investors both here in Ireland and in the UK. His many years spent in the industry have left Barry with a wealth of knowledge on all aspects within the Financial Services sector.
